Set patient follow up

Once a request has been marked as 'completed' a follow-up message can be set up for a specified date.

This is done by selecting 'Set follow up' on the completed request screen and setting the options.

You will need to use the date and time pickers to set when the follow-up request will be triggered and the patient notified, this is the 'Send on date:'. You will also need to specify how long you wish that follow-up request to wait for the patient's response, using'Await reply until':

Setting the default time that follow-ups appear

The default 'Send on date:' and time that the follow-ups are created is set globally for all requests from the system settings screen 'Settings>System' and then choosing a 'Time when requests return from waiting' and 'set waiting days default' as below:

So if you set this to 10am and 7 days, then the 'send on date' would automatically be set to 7 days from today's date at 10am

Preset Messages

Preset messages can be used when setting a follow up by selecting the speech bubble icon:

Then select the Preset message you wish to use, you can use the search bar at the top to help to find a specific preset message:

And the contents of that message will populate the text box on the Follow-up screen. Alternatively you can simply write some free text into the 'Message to patient' box

Once the follow-up date and await reply settings have been set, the patient receives a message on that date at the set time and is able to reply.

Defaults

Note that when setting a follow-up, the default action if the patient does not reply is to return the request back to the current assignee:

If the patient DOES reply during this time, then the request will automatically be returned to the current assignee.
