When adding a new member of staff you might encounter the following error:

This means that the email is already in use within the askmyGP system. To find out if the email is registered as a patient or member of staff. Click 'Check.'

If you see the following pop-up, it means that the email has been registered with a patient account.

This can be the case where a member of staff is registered as a patient or proxy at another practice and have used their NHS email address.

Please ask them to log in to their askmyGP account and change their email address under 'Edit my details.'

You will then be able to add them as a staff user.

Alternatively, the popup may say Existing Staff Member Found.

This is the case when a member of staff is registered as staff at a different practice (for example a locum GP or a physiotherapist who works at multiple practices.)

If appropriate, you can add them to your network.
