The actions outlined here are for superusers only.
1. Service status
This is where you can switch askmyGP on or off.
Our advice is that you leave it switched on permanently 24 hours a day for optimum access by your patients.
2. Time when requests return from waiting
If a clinician has set a wait time to enable a patient a few days to respond to a secure message, you can set the time of day that any such requests return to the 'Requests Assigned' list if no response has been received.
3. Set waiting days default
You can set the default number of days to wait for the patient to reply.
4. Predicted demand
Predicted demand can be found from the capacity planning section of the transform checklist. This will be shown on the dashboard against estimated capacity.
5. In hours service times
These times will be shown to patients when they place a request.
The automatic response they receive after submitting a request will be different for opening hours and when you are closed.
6. Service until next opening
There are two options in this box, either leave it as "Out of Hours Requests" which will enable the patient to submit a request whilst the practice is closed (they will receive an automatic message telling them that they won't be contacted until the practice has re-opened), or "Closed to New Requests" which will prevent the patient from making a request until the practice has opened.
We advise that it is kept on the 'Out of Hours Requests' setting.
7. Sites
If you are a practice with several sites, you can list them here by just clicking on the 'Add Another Site' button and typing in the name. Conversely sites can be removed by clicking on the 'Remove Site' button.
This will automatically change all the areas in askmyGP where sites are shown, eg the dashboard.
Whatever changes you make to this page, always remember to click on 'Update Settings' to save.
