Safari 'Reader Mode'

iPhone's Safari offers a 'Reader Mode' that simplifies webpages, displaying only text and images and removing distractions like ads and navigation menus.

If you have this option activated for askmyGP, or configured to be 'On' by default within your devices' system settings, this will hide navigation buttons from view, which may prevent you from using the system.

You can follow the steps below which help you to enable/disable this feature for askmyGP, or for all websites.

Show/Hide Reader (per website)

Reader formats a webpage to show just the relevant text and images.

  1. Go to the Safari app on your iPhone

  2. On a supported website, tap the Page Settings button, then tap Show Reader

To return to the full page, tapthe Page Settings button, then tap Hide Reader

Automatically enable/disable Reader (for a single website)

  1. Go to the Safari appon your iPhone

  2. On a supported website, tapthe Page Settings button, then tapthe Details button

  3. Turn on Use Reader Automatically, or Turn off to disable it

Automatically enable/disable Reader (for all websites)

To automatically use Reader for all websites that support it, go to Settings> Apps > Safari > Reader, then turn on All Websites, or turn this option off to disable it.
