Can I delete a patient's request?

Yes - if for any reason a request needs to be deleted (entered on the wrong patient's record for example) there is a way to delete the request.

(Please note that requests which have already been archived (3 months after they were completed) cannot be deleted.)

Once the request has been 'completed', you can use the advanced search filter in 'requests' to retrieve it and delete it.

First in 'requests' view, click the advanced search option (magnifying glass icon over to the right):

Ensure the 'Completed' box is ticked to filter the search by completed requests and enter the request ID, or patient surname/DOB to find the request you need or narrow down the search, then click 'Apply':

Select the request you wish to delete and then hit the 'delete' button at the bottom of the screen:

You will be asked to confirm that you wish to delete the request, select 'Yes':

This action cannot be undone, so please double check that you are correctly deleting a request, before proceeding.
