Do you limit the number of contacts or the time of day that patients can access online triage? Do I have to monitor the system 8-6.30?

No, we don’t limit this.  Reception staff (typically one person designated as ‘assigner/sorter’) monitor the system throughout the day and sends new requests to the available GPs as they come in. We make suggestions about organising your day in a different way, so that you allow time at regular intervals to respond to new requests.   


In your Admin Settings you have full control over the timings of in- and out- of hours messages so patients know when they will have to wait until practice opening.
